Was running a batch of Qtrs, Dimes and Nickles, clad or so I thought. After 6 hours I dried them off and discovered a 1946 Nickle. Nice surprise.

Hello, why was the 1946 Nickle a nice suprise? is it a special date? i am just asking for my own knowledge, Thanks.

Digger I think that the "war nickels" were 42 thru 45.
 
You would be correct sir...I was assuming the year was close and when he said it was special, I did not think long enough about it...lol
