Out with Multi Kruzer, again today. Made a discovery.

I've been experimenting with various settings. I discovered that with the machine in 5kHz, my Nokta pinpointer interferes mightily with the Kruzer. That must be the frequency of the pointer. Anyway, by separating them as much as possible, the interference lessens or goes away. Today, I went to the section of the park where good finds have disappered (even Zinkers, if one can call them "good.") I didn't find much; about 5 zinkers, a nickel and a small, sterling toe ring. The learning process continues....

The Nokta frequency is 11.6, not 5. Not to say it couldn't interfere with the Kruzer. I'm not enough of an expert to know the answer to that one. I did have a couple of instances when I was pinpointing with my Garrett ProPointer that the sound switched from my headphones over to the detector for 1-2 seconds.

Did your try to shift the frequency?

F3 is the only real bad one. Will interfere from nearly 3ft away. F2 and F4 are much much better.

The detector and pinpointer were definitely cross-talking. The interference would go away, as soon as I turned the pinpointer off.
