Outlaw and no motion all metal sensitivity

I am a proud owner of an Outlaw.

Today I read the manual for the first time ( I had many Tesoros so not many surprises) and...

Copy and paste from the Outlaw manual:

"NOTE: The no-motion ALL METAL MODE of the Outlaw is not affected by the Sensitivity Control."

This means that sensitivity is fixed in all metal no auto mode, if this is true at what level of sensitivity is set?

I hope Allcav will chime in and let me know.

Regards.

...i guess this is the reason why manual states that for ground balancing you should set all metal in "auto". Considering that sensitivity works only in allmetal auto and discrimination, if you ground balance in all metal no motion (with a fixed sens.) and then start searching in discr. your ground balance could be offset by an excessive sensitivity...

It is my impression that he sens. is on max in all metal.

Thanx for reply, machineman, i am not sure that is on max in all metal no motion, because in my high mineralized grounds it looks simpler to ground balance in this mode than in sat (aka auto) mode. I will make some air tests and will compare their depth with the same target.
Take r.

I've been under the impression that all, or nearly all detectors default to full sensitivity when in all metal making that the most powerful setting for the sensitivity of the detector. A big reason for using all metal when searching for small gold. Doesn't take much to test. If an air test gives the same distance at the minimum sensitvity setting as it does turned full on shows that very quickly.

I did some tests and all metal no motion looks a little deeper than the motion one. So, well done Tesoro!

The Outlaw is an awesome machine. I tried one out yesterday that another club member had just bought.

It's one of the lightest deep hitting detectors on the market.

The pinpoint button is new and improved over the prototype that I have been using. I am now in the market for one for my very own.

I don't need the larger coil it comes new with, because it's too heavy for my bad shoulder and I already have the small 5.75 coil.

Trust me, this is going to turn out to be an all time classic for Tesoro.
