PA Silver.

Played hooky and went to jb's neck of the woods and found a silver Saint Christopher medal, a silver ring and my oldest silver Mexican coin to date, a 1895 10 centavos coin. How in the world did you miss these jb?...:) Hunted the old Catholic school up in PA. I'm sure you have been there before. HH.

Nice finds Eddie, sounds like you have been poaching, keep the pics comming.

All the best....Boony

Thanks Boony. I like to rib jb as he just joined our club. He is a very good detectorist and I would go with him anyday. I was using my Platypus coil and going real slow and using 16 on my sensitivity. HH.

Thanks Jack. I wouldn't say I am that good. I'm still a greenhorn at this hobby and believe it or not, I am still learning my Explorer XS. With all the tips and advice from all of you guys it seems like there is always something new to try with the old XS and even the Explorer II. One of these days I may step up, but I think I'll try and hold out for the Explorer III if and when they ever come out....:) HH.

Thanks Mike. That silver Mexican sure rang in nice and sweet and I wasn't quite sure what I had there especially after I rubbed a little of the dirt off and saw the feathers..........:) Silver is silver in my book. HH.

Because it is a private school, I never asked and for that reason never hunted it. I assume you are talking across the street in the vacant play ground with the ball field on the N.E. Corner. Anyway good finds, see you Sun. We will not be able to make the Sat. hunt. P.S. P.A. also requires a $5 permit.

Yes, I was in the play field across the street. I asked to hunt around the school building, but was denied, but this fella didn't have a problem with the ball field. I'm not going to the hunt Sat either. See you Sunday.

I use to live in PA for about two years back in my high school days. Were talking 45 years ago now. I really liked that town and have some fond memories of the friends that I met while living there. I lived in Forks for a little while before we moved to PA. Being the son of a father who logged for a living I did see my share of logging towns in my youth.........:) I did stop by the old high school that has been pounded to death and got one 1927 wheat by the main entrance and that was it. HH.

Nice finds Eddie. Wish I could have played hooky today too, due to the nice day we had up here in North Dakota, but had to go and side an addition instead. I hope to be joining the finds soon. HH and good luck.

I suppose I could ask my boss for a personal day. What do you think?

Call in sick, sick of work and cant work, but well enough to detect, wonder if I could get by with that??
