PA Silver.

Nice find Eddie! I found 6 of those medals in a 100X50 ft. area of the front lawn of a church over on Bainbridge Island. This was a virgin spot and I pulled alot of silver and Wheats out of there also.

Thanks crazyman. Yes, that eagle did get my heart pumping a little bit......:) I think I have about six of those medals also, but found them in different places. Don't be telling people where your virgin spots are at unless you have it hunted out...........:)

Eddie

Feel free to take that Minelab and give it a try. I'll give you directions if ya want. The place was loaded before I hunted it with my Whites.

You never really know for sure if a place is hunted out completely and a different detector might find something others have missed. Send me directions in a private message and if I get over that way I will check it out and let you know how I did. Thanks.

Eddie

I don't think so Rick! I think your wife would get a little mad if you pulled something like that, unless she got to go out and detect too.

The only time I do take off is when I am sick and trust me, I have only been sick a total of 3-4 times in 10 years. I don't even get a chance to take my week's vacation that I get each year due to trying to get concrete projects done before freeze-up so I just take an extra check instead. But I am hoping that I can take off a week this year sometime to go and hit some virgin spots that I have researched. Only if I was born rich!!!

Wow!!! Must be nice to be so healthy...........:) A couple more years and I can retire and do a lot more detecting. The way I look at it James, we are all rich in the sense that we have this wonderful hobby of metal detecting and I hope it's a hobby that will remain open for all of us for many years to come......:) HH.

Older sites will certainly help if you want to break that 1900's barrier. They are out there. Just do some research and you'll find them.........:) HH.

Eddie

If you want to find older sites, do some research out of centennial books at your local library if possible. It will tell you where the people went to have fun and could be virgin undetected sites waiting for you to discover. Also, you could try vacant lots, and possibly maybe ask permission to get into neighbors yards. Just trying to help you find your first 1800's coin. HH.
