Decided to part out the Sovereign GT package below. Check the pics in my original post of October 20.
Sovereign GT - $480. Shipped to the lower 48. If selling just the detector - the basics it includes: The plugger stand (the only stand I have) that keeps the GT off the ground, stock 10" coil, coil cover & hardware, stock handle & upper and lower rods, arm cuff & cover, new hip / chest mount bag, rechargeable & alkaline battery packs, charger. All shipped in the factory carton with the manual.
This detector was gently used and is exceptionally nice. The upper aluminum rod shows scuffing from the stand and handles that were mounted and the label on the WOT is faded. That's all there is for visible wear among the items I listed in the package. I will consider reasonable offers and you could combine items and make an offer.
I used this GT mainly for sweeping large beach areas with the WOT. I did really well after weather events like "Sandy" and other storms. The S8 is a beauty and helped me pick valuables out of a heavily mineralized drained lake bottom that was heavily littered. In fact coins at 4" and beyond were correctly ID'd that my buddies detector read as "Hot Rock". I had been over a particular area of the lake bottom with 4 different detectors and when we thought the signals dried up I pulled the GT out. After comparing signals my friend started to dig the hot rock signals and scored more silver and wheats that the GT left no doubt about being goodies when we cross checked. There were numerous real hot rocks littering the area. If it sounds like I really like this detector, I do. They are a different animal and have a well deserved reputation. That said my modded Excalibur 2 on a straight carbon fiber shaft will do some of the duty the GT did and I'll never part with it.
The biggest reason for me to sell this detector is my osteoarthritis and the fact I kept it as a specialty unit. Hate to admit the changes that come with age but I've had severe osteoarthritis since I was in my 40's with two hip replacements before 50. That's all good now, but my knees, left thumb & wrist, neck and back are barking bad and I'm only a year away from 60! Too much disclosure maybe. With that said, the only trade I'd be interested in is a Makro Racer with the updated coil ears.
