I can't believe it, this is a new machine. I leaned it against the wall and sure enough, it fell and the batteries latch broke.It has pins on both sides,I am not sure if it is something you can do yourself. Can anybody help me with this one?

I'm sure you could fix it..That said send it in, and have it replaced ..It's winter.......... a good time to do it..
 
Jim - how'd you make out with this? I thought you meant the yellow clip under the battery pack that loads and locks into the battery compartment of the Safari ? Two years ago, I once dropped the battery pack and both and bottom separated,double AAs all over the place and I cursed the cheap plastic components. Re-assembled it with crazy glue surrounded by duct tape,no problems. Hope you make out just as good.
