A real capable looking machine with both DD and concentric coils available. I like. Haven't seen all the u-tube postings but don't recall any mention of SW versions or on screen Software version display. Or SW update capability. This will mean sending in for SW updates. Notching increments are way too broad. The weight and balance look ideal. Tone features I like. And the name and control panel front design are attractive. As this model evolves we will want wireless headphone option. The screw on coil connector is premo. Smaller coil options will be coming if this unit is successful. Does technetics have their own proprietary wireless headphone system?

SW updating (if ever) would probably require a factory visit.
Coils; if it works for a Fisher F70/F75 , it should work for the Patriot.
Essentially, it is a re-badged F70. Some have speculated about First Texas adding some "secret sauce" to the Patriot. But that has been neither confirmed or denied by FTP.

Being an F70 user, I like this machine a lot.
It is a workhorse detector that requires time and practice to learn its ways. More powerful than most "beginner" detectors, but at the same price level.

It's an F-70 - no change whatsoever apart from the faceplate aand color scheme - and considering whar]t a great machine the F-70 is - that's a good thing.
