PCGS Grading

I'm sure nobody remembers... But about three weeks ago, I posted how my friend found a beautiful 1865-S $5.00 gold piece. I'm sure it's at least VF..! Maybe XF.... Maybe more..? Has anybody had experience with PCGS grading and what their fees are. My buddy is very hesitant about spending the money. I'm telling him it's Money in The Bank.

I think I read the fee is about $70, but not sure.... like you I think it would be a good investment to have it checked and graded.
I would do it.

Sure is a beautiful coin!

Talk to a local coin dealer. They will give you a price and mind will even send it off for you. The price is dependent on the value of the coin.

My coin dealer gave me his thoughts on some coins I found turned out well enough if the coin is a low mintage I would insure it and send it in..
