penny pooping 10kg worth

here's the Aussie equivalent to US penny popping the only problem is 1c-2c coins were taken out of circulation in 1991 & are now useless ( poop ) & worth only copper value. this pile has taken 4 years to accumulate mostly with the ace250 i usually only find these in large numbers hunting old coins thankfully. here's a pic

Contact the reserve bank, there was a time where exchange could be made.
Also check the copper prices and compare.

I"m going to wait until i"v got a 20Lt bucket full then sell it for scrap i"ll get more $ that way
 
When you get a full 20 liter bucket and more $$.
What value will the $ be at.?
 
ivanll i could work the $ out on weight but may be off a little as some of the coins are corroded.

Do not let the bank calculate the value by weight, you will lose.
I took a bucket full of cleaned and sorted coins to the Which Bank years ago, they did the trick of value by weight.
They were out nearly $ 9
I counted the lot before going there.
These days I have my way of cleaning coins to a shine without discolouration and just spend them when grocery shopping and smaller purchases.
 
Sorry guys. A bit of Aussie humour. There is a bank over here that used to be owned by the Australian government. They sold it off. It's called the Commonwealth Bank. The biggest one over here. They had an add many moons ago, in which they identified themselves as "which bank?"

Your on a roll Mick. that's interesting about the "which bank" as i collect old bank money boxes i wonder if they made one with that slogan on it.
 
You will most likely only find a money box with the logo in black/yellow or is it yellow/black and that is the visual clue to Which Bank
 
thanks ivanll i"v got two of the old tin commonwealth money box"s but haven't got any like that i"ll have to keep my eyes open.
