Hi all.

Yesterday I stopped at a large partially snow covered wood chip playground for a little over an hour. The only coil I had with me was the 10x12 SEF so I couldn't get very close to the playground equipment. Near the bottom of one of the larger slides I got a huge signal bouncing around between 60 and 75. I figured it was a can but when I checked with the ProPointer I realized it was lots of shallow small items in an area about 2' x 2'. I started chipping pennies out of the frozen wood chips along with a lone nickel. 48 pennies total, 5 zincs and 43 coppers dating back to 1961. Usually it's the other way around for me - way more zincs than coppers....very odd.

You think some kid went down the slide with a pocket or purse full of pennies out of Dad's old "penny poker" fund jar from the 80s? I did find 3 quarters., a dime, and another nickel while there. They were all shallow except for one quarter at around 8 to 9 inches. That one was fun to dig - the wood chips were frozen solid to about 5" deep.

It really felt good to get out and swing for a while. Can't wait for the weather to break.
