penny with no date

Need a better pix. Too dark and too blurry.

I am hoping that is a mint error as that would be a great penny you got there. It not a wheaty it must be a 1981 that was an error stamp. at least that is what it looks like from the pic. I;ll cross my fingers for ya.

Cool dave!! Looks like an error coin,,, After going through all those penny's together,, Looking for reverses of double stamps.. You dug one lol Have jack post a better pic! See ya

Awesome dave!!!! Looks to be one for sure!!

you can see the 19 and what looks like something round had rubbed it, I would think so also if the face wasn't so warn. but I am no coin expert.:)

Sure hope you got a rare mint error there David...............Good Luck ....

Well dave,,, Sorry to say,,, It's JUNK lol

You better put it back where you got it,,, Then tell me!!! lol

chaaaa chinggggg. You can see where possibly the die is broken. Looks like one worth having it looked at and appraised. Boy i dont have the patience to go thru all the change i get, but its obvious it can pay off. Great find Dave.... Hey just a thought ill give ya .50 cents for it.. look at it as 50 percent increase on your money. What a deal... stock market wont give ya that.

I agree with Nick A. It looks like a filled die. Lincoln and the wording appear to have less detail than the other side of the coin. If it were a broken die, there usually would be a die crack (a raised line where the crack occur ed) or a "cud" ( a blob of metal where the die broke off). Also, look at it with a magnifying glass to be sure there are no machining marks in case someone machined the part of the date off. It probably isn't worth much- I found a Kennedy half dollar in a roll of halves that was missing lots of detail on one side of the coin due to a filled die. I sold it on eBay for about $10. Your coin is a neat find and I always like looking through my change when I have the time.
