Hi All,
Been a while since I have taken the ol Safari out for a spin. Hunted an old cart path between Lost Mt. and Kennesaw Mt. here in the Atlanta area. A friend of mine owns some property where the cart path goes right through it. Have to say it was some clean property. Very few signals, not even much on the iron side. But at least when you hit something you knew it.
Don't get to hunt much in the Civil War areas, so I am a bit unsure about what I have found. The mangled one I think may be a percussion cap. Any help would be appreciated. I am at work and don't have access to a ruler so I can't give you the mm diameter of the finds. Each one seems a little bigger then the other. The bullets etc came in between 34-36.
What you see is what I found in about an hour and a half. (except for some barbed wire and a half full gas can buried with leaves. No telling how long that had been there. Probably worth more then of my finds though!!)
Rest assured I will be going back.
Thanks for looking,
HH,
Bunker
