Performance wise...what are the differences between the Explorer XS and the EX II

Dan, there really isn't much difference between the two other than Minelab added more threshold adjustment, dual digital readout, 1/4" headphone plug, and reconfigured the rods.
The software for EXII is somewhat quicker on recovery but everything else is the same set-up in the menu. The armrest is improved black colored plastic and the lower rod is black carbon and round so that the coil wire just goes thru the inside ... easier to deal with. The coil is black in color too. It's a sharp looking detector.
It's a little more sensitive to interference in some cases though but in general a noticable improvement over the XS.
