I've been hunting in a park I know to be over 100 years old. I've been using Bryce's settings from Andy Sabich's book, and swinging the SE Pro really slow. I have found a ton of clad from the 70s, 80s and 90s, but nothing older. I'm finding most of the coins at 6-8 inches deep. My question is that based on the depth I'm finding more recent coins, has most of the older stuff sunk to a level beyond where it can be detected? I don't know whether or not there has been any hunting in this park before, but the amount of clad I'm easily able to find suggests there hasn't been. Thoughts?
