Last night had a call from my friend Tim wondering where I had planned to hunt. I had told him I was meaning to take the larger coil out to look for some deep silver. He asked if I wanted to clad hunt instead and mentioned this "virgin" site he had been to. His finds in, yes in 2 1/2 hours were: 114 quarters, 42 dimes, 21 nickels, 27 cents, and a silver ring. He said he had little time and after the first hour decided just to dig quarter signals. A total of $33.56 was found and was given another day to hunt and that was it. Well, I enjoy digging old stuff but not about to pass this up.
Met with Tim about 9:00AM this morning and we went to work. I was having fun digging nickels, dimes, quarters, and pennies. After about an hour dug a 10kt ring with a ruby and was pumped because I set a goal every year in hopes of a ruby.

I even had the ring long enough to take two pics before my girlfriend claimed it. I'm sure I'll see it again(on her finger). I dug and dug and dug, not going to mention the fact that I dug coins until I was sick of digging. We left before we had to, just too tired to dig any more, even tho the opportunity was lost after today. I'd say we left knowing there were hundreds more signals still in the ground. Tim ended the day with 96 quarters, 71 dimes, 33 nickels, 18 cents, a silver cross, and a nice 10kt gold heart ring. His two day total was 210 quarters, 113 dimes, 54 nickels, 45 cents for a total of 422 coins totaling $66.49. He also found gold and silver.
My total for just the day in the five hours there was; 97 quarters, 78 dimes, 81 nickels, 43 pennies, and a Canadian dime. My total was 300 coins totaling $36.63. My personal highs were 97 quarter, 78 dimes, 300 total coins in one day and a one day total of $36.63.

The picture is all the junk I dug. What you see there is every piece I dug, never had I found so little junk as I did today!!!
