Pet peeves of detecting.

Dunno about the sound AJ,
but I'm guessing it would look something like this.

I've often that about that. How much damage I could do to an attacker with the coil swung like a golf club in the head, but then I realize that I really don't want to damage a $1000+ piece of equipment on someone who isn't worth the change I've just found. Luckily, we don't have many areas around here where it's an issue.

But you always need to be aware of who's around.:look:

The problem with pinpionta's set up is that the gulls can poop on him:puke:. I was thinkin of havin 'em perched in the trees, ready to strike like they usually do!:stars::stretcher::rofl:

Back when I worked in the city of Pittsburgh a coworker who lived in one of the worst neighborhoods told me always to come into the bad neighborhoods early (before 9:00AM) and when the kids are not in school(Saturdays and Sundays). The thugs are still sleeping. Also, join the NRA and help in the fight to get carry permits in your state. Here in Allegheny County in the state of Pennsylvania it's simple to get a concealed carry permit (same qualifications as buying a gun)and there are over 38000 permits issued in this county alone. I always carry when I'm out detecting. Even in the woods. You never know when you're going to run into some "Deliverance" creep or some dope grower.

Wow I was thinking of starting to carry a weapon but mine was for protection against bears and badgers and mountain lions and rattle snakes,,,,, When I read your posts I guess I will take the wild animals over humans anytime HH George in Colorado

Hi Mickey,
Swingin a garrett man whats that is that some sort of imported model from ching chong land. Thats exterra ordinary for ya to have weak springs in your battery compartment. Perhaps if you charge your batteries the springs will expand and make or break ya. To get rid of the dust just put an explorer over it and that will blow it away.
