Petrified bone fragments

Quite some years back I was walking a creek while pan-fishing which drains into a major river here in Texas. The water flow eventually pinched off and the creek bed was partially exposed then I started to notice a lot of bone fragments. I've read data stating that during the Pleistocene Era this river drainage was probably around 25 miles wide! Most of the bone fragments were from hogs, deer, alligator and from livestock but some were petrified. My largest bone fragment found was protruding from the bank and at a distance it looked like an old fired clay brick from the 1800's but it turned out to be some petrified bone fragment from a large animal maybe from the Pleistocene era? Have gone back numerous times but now the creek always has water... probably due to local crop water drainage.
