PI depth question

Do pulse induction metal detectors truly detect deeper in salt water or wet salt sand than in the air? And if so how much deeper?

Thanks Bill. I may run some tests of my own with my Surmaster PI. I'll post the results.
I had an experience this summer in the Adirondacks that showed me how good the PI is in highly mineralized sand. I was at a small freshwater beach a few miles from an iron ore mining site. My Excalibur would null out on a penny if it was deeper than about two inches and didn't get a whole lot deeper in the all metal mode. I went back to the car and got my Surfmaster PI and was soon digging nickels at 12 inches. Using the PI on that beach was no worse than using it here in Florida.
