PI Discrimination

New member
Hello all,

I'm about to buy my first water machine. I'm looking at the Garrett Infinium, the Excaliber, and investigating other PIs. I will mainly use it on freshwater beaches here in east Tennesee and yearly brief visits to Florida. I will maybe go chest high in the water. I will mainly just hunt on the beach though.

Can anyone tell me whether the discrimination on Infinium works well enough to keep me from digging too much iron? I know I have to dig pretty much everything to find rings and I plan to do that, but I was hoping to be able to avoid the iron.

TIA
Alton

The answer on the Infinium is NO. Your best best for fresh water where you need discrimination and use on FL beaches will be the Excaliber. Don

The Excaliber is a good choice

Discrimination of PI detectors is poor but they goes more deep.
if you don't care for junks buy a PI.
