PI Pro depth ?

Mark L

New member
Recently got my PI Pro back from the factory for repairs. Before I sent it in, I could turn the gain all the way up, and it ran smooth here in my non-mineralized sand in NW FL. After getting it back, I can only turn it up 1/4 turn from the off position. Any higher, I get a repeatable loud signal that sounds like a good target. Got hold of the factory and they tried to tell me that my machine might just be a little hotter than some. If 9" on a nickel is hot for this machine, then I will have one up for sale soon. That is all it will do without the bad falseing. What kind of depth do you other PI Pro users get on a nickel. Thanks, Mark

Send it back to the factory....someone has screwed up!!! I can hunt all out, at full blast just like your machine used to and I get 12 to 14 inches on a nickel in air testing!!!I have located nickels in damp black sand at one foot depths,as well. It sounds to me like they have detuned your unit or offset the ground balance pot!!
