pic size problems........

Art (NWOH)

New member
I see pics on the forums that fill the screen, or are so large I have to scroll to view them.

To get my pics to post, they have to be really small or they exceed size limit.

How do I get the pic to a reasonable size without exceeding size limit??

HH

One thing to check is to make sure that they are 72 dpi when you resize them for web viewing. That'll usually get the file size down and still give a reasonable image size (say approx 800 x 600).

800x600 would be good for viewing size.

Think I need some software for this.

Pics from the camera are 1024x ? jepg . have to reduce from pc screen size down to 320x240 to post.

What software will give me a decent size pic to post without busting the size limitations?

HH

I have heard good things about the following free program (although I haven't used it personally):

http://www.irfanview.com/

I think it has the ability to resize and optimize for the web.
