Just kidding, great pic!

Hi dobbie! You and Lisa sound like you two would be the best of friends and have loads of fun together! I wish I could be younger, but know what I know now or otherwise I would be living the same life over and would never want to do that!

You, too, sound like go-getters and go-getters have fun and do lots of things for entertainment! May God Bless! Amen! :angel: Ma Betty

Nice pictures . I have always wanted to pan for gold , when I was little I panned the creek all the time , I did not care if there was no gold anywhere around here . :laugh: I did find some bullets and a couple of newer coins though.

Wow, 7centsworth, I never thought about gold panning our creek back on the farm, but didn't know anything about :detecting: either....but I wonder if Cliff and I would have found anything? We either played in, went swimming, wading or something all the time! We had our own swimming pool of clear, running water (when finding a swimming area deep enough) and our own huge sand pile...that went up and down in the amount of sand...according to the floods we had....when dat lil' creek would rise and be a rolling and overflowing it's banks...saw many large trees, roots and all, floating in the high waters many times! We were poor but we had our own playground with trees to climb and sapplings to ride down to the ground! We made games up for ourselves, for we had very few toys and games....but we were children and played as such! We even sat in the wagon and pretended we were heading West towards California! :biggrin: Glad you enjoyed your panning and even found something! :thumbup: May God Bless! :angel: Ma Betty

Hmmmmm... How bout YOU move a few hundred miles SOUTH??? Don't think I would like it north of the Mason Dixon! Come on down here for a little Southern hospitality, good food, and lots of fun!

Mike likes it up thar where it snows all the time and the temp is very cold. I can't wait until I can be one of them snow birds.

Dear Lisa ;
with all your charming attributes i think i am falling in love , only need to know 1 more thing to cinch it !! do you go "noodeling" for big ole snappin turtles ???? if so i'm fireing up my miners hooch and headin fer bama . just kiddin . tooo cold there !!!!!! lol .

"may the good lord take a likeing to ya" .

Doc,

I don't go noodling, but I do know what noodling is. Ain't no way I'm runnin my hands and arms in a hole in the creek bank or the creek bed!!! Not with all the cotton mouths and other snakes we have here!!! Makes my skin crawl to think about it. I've been in the creek with people who were doing that, but this ol girl ain't about to. Around here, they are usually going for catfish instead of turtles. Don't know if being in the creek with those doing it earns me any points or not. If not, then count me out!!!
