Pin Pointer

I'm thinking about purchasing a hand held Pin Pointer to assist with locating those pesky coins that can hide themselves in the dirt at times.

Can anyone suggest which one they would consider to be the best?

Thanks.

Garret ProPointer, in fact I own two now! I also use a brass probe rod as well.

If you're going non attached it is Garrett Pro Pointer, but if you want the best pinpointer it is the Sun Ray Probe. It's basically an extension of your metal detector and is the best pinpointer I've used. While the pro pointer is good.....the Sun Ray probe is amazing.

Simple, light, easy to use, very effective...Garrett Pro Pointer. gets approximately 3 inches ...less or more.

for a more serious use of pinpointer look into the lpast posts on the SunRay in line probe.

good luck

Garrett Pro Pointer, tough, works great.

Pro Pointer. It is a handheld which means that you can use it when swapping to another detector. An in-line is dedicated. martin

Thanks for the replies guy. Have decided to go with the Garrett Pro Pointer as I like the portability of it.

Have ordered one and are eagerly awaiting delivery.

I have both the Garrett Pro pointer and the in line sun ray probe. I would opt for the sunray FIRST and I would budget and buy the other at the first opportunity. I actually have occasions that I use first the sunray probe followed by the Garrett. This usually occurs when I have a find disappear. The sun ray probe may be tuned into the disc pattern mode and the garrett probe is all metal. You will have times that a signal might disappear and the garrett might pick it up when the sun ray might not.

I also use the Garrett Probe when I need a light to see....such as night hunting.

AGain, I would opt for the sunray, and I would save my money and get the other as well. The Sun Ray probe is more versatile imho, but both is twice as good

Dennis, feeling strongly, both ways
