Pinpoint question for Deus

WoofWoof

New member
I usually run my Deus pretty hot- over 90 Sensitivity, discrim @ 5.5 and 18kHz. But when in pinpoint the sens. reverts back to the standard 75. Is there a way of making the default pinpoint higher?

You can adjust your pinpoint sensitivity but can't save it so when you turn your machine off, it will go back to the default setting. At least that's what I get out of it.

They are supposed to be fixing this in Rev. 3

Have you tried the Minelab wiggle? Much faster way to pin point wit that machine. More accurate for me as well.

Try the wiggle. Once you get use to it you will find it is much faster.

Yes the wiggle works but for me, pinpoint mode allows you to tell the size of the target better.

I agree with Kevin and Bart, much faster and easier than having to switch to pinpoint mode and easy to learn.

Minelab wiggle is when you wiggle the coil and back the coil off the target goes away. The target is then off the tip of the coil. I use this with the DEUS too when I am struggling with pinpointing. With my ETrac I can tell by how the signal breaks off the tip whether the signal is a coin or not.
