Pinpointer?

I think my Garret Pinpointer is about to croak.. Looking for the next best pinpointer and there is a nokta waterproof one on sale right now.

So what are your thoughts on the nokta? and if you had the money for a new pinpointer what would you buy?

Hello Mike.......I have the Nokta waterproof and love it. It is identical to the Makro I had prior but the Nokta has 10 sensitivity settings rather than 4 like the Makro. I know it is a very subjective thing but I think you would like it a lot. Plus it has the alarm function that if you set it down and it goes idle for I believe 5 mins. it will begin to audible to let you know where it is......unless you walk way off.

I'd try the Pro Pointer II out, I guess I'm wishfully thinking that Garrett put a little more effort into the parts on it than the original

If Sunray makes an in-line probe for your particular Garrett, I would highly recommend it.

I've always wondered if the Sunday probes weather proof.. usable in the rain?

the probe is waterproof . Like any coil would be . But the junction box wouldn't be water proof . But if out in rain , I just wrap non water proof parts in plastic and black tape .
