i have written a letter describing my problems with my fifth propointer in three years to garrett,three weeks ago and as yet have recieved no reply.now i know that australia is the land down under and we did take the america's cup off you'all.i would have thought that you held no grudges.surely the mail ain't that slow when it hits the states or the in- boxes are so full at garrett that it takes for ever to respond to a simple question.i gave them my email address,my home address.maybe we're not worth a responce since they got our money anyway.not a happy little vegimite,minlab pinpointers cost more,but work,hmmm,blowfly
 
Sorry that you are having problems. I've had my ProPointer for three years and the only problem was when I foolishly decided it was safe to use near the river. As for the Americas Cup, you are welcome to it. I don't know anybody with a yacht and I don't know anybody that cares. So have at it my friend!

I've had wonderful luck with Garrett...I am sure it is a paperwork shuffle in their office...hang in there they will halp you.
 
I had a problem with my propointer, I sent garrett an email but didn't get a response. So I just boxed it up and sent it to them with an explanation of the problem, and in few working days fedex brought me a brand new one. I was very impressed.
 
As yet I haven't had a problem with my pro pointer But I did with my Ace 350. I sent it in with a letter telling them how it was acting with my phone # and asked them to call me when they started working on it, I was going to have them put the stock coil back on it and would have paid if that was the problem. when I got it it had a 6.5x9 on it Not the 8.5x11DD stock coil.. 1 week later I called and they said it was in the repair division and they would call me if there was a problem, 3 days later still No call so I called back. the person I talked to this time said we couldn't find anything wrong, But we replaced the coil and sent it back to you. I said well you just missed a sale because I would have paid for the stock coil. I asked to talk to the sales dept so I could order a coil and was told, I can sell you one But if you go to an outside distributor you can get it cheaper, we don't like to under cut our suppliers. I called 2 and both told me we don't sell any parts any more and might not keep selling the detectors the Big box company like Kellyco can sell them way cheaper than we can. So my friend I for one am not impressed with the company, But I do think they make a great machine. One Day I will own a ATpro or Gold. HH and hope you get some satisfaction.
 
Since I bought my first detector in December-2007, they have always taken good care of me and answered all my emails. In my case, each time I thought I had a problem with my detector, it was my inexperience and not the machine. They always helped me get squared away and sent me the paper work to send it back if need be, but so far so good. Too bad you had a problem blowfly and T-ledoux, but hope you get taken care of.
