Pinpointing with T2...help

Hello. I have a question about pinpointing with the T2...what is the exact point under the coil for pinpointing? The very center of it? I'm not used at this shape of coil and it is beeing hard for me to pinpoint...THANKS!

If you look at the top of the coil you should see a circle (or dot)right in front of the lower rod pretty much center of the coil. That seems to be where mine pinpoints.

AS they are usted to round coils. BUt once you dig a few items you will become much better at pinpointing....

Pinpoining takes a little getting used to at first. When you pinpoint the target the first time you will get a wide target. You then try to find the center of the target and move the coil just off center a little and pull the pinpoint trigger again, this will narrow down the target to a small pinpoint signal and the target will be under the center of the coil. Now do the same thing 90 deg. to the target and you will be right over the target. Each time you pull the pinpoint trigger you will narrow down the signal to a small spot. If you are over the center of the target and pull the pinpoint trigger you will loose the signal and you will have to move off enter of the target and do it again. Put a coin on top of the ground and practice pinpointing and in a few min. you will have it down. Another important thing about the pinpoint mode is if you have a iffy signal or you think something is there but are not sure pinpoint it and if something is there you will get a good loud pinpoint signal. I have done this several time and found items that I would have passed over. If there is any doubt pinpoint it. Sometimes you get a soft pinpoint that you would think that it is something deep but it turns out to be something very small that is not very deep. Good luck and happy hunting.
