Why did Tesoro go from 4 to 5 pins?
 
They didn't really. They had 5. Then came out with the cibola tejon and vaquero with different tech so it's 4 pin.
Now they are still making 5 pin too. So one never replaced the other.
 
there is a much wider range of Tesoro made 5 pin coils than 4 pin the 4 pins were Jacks last project maybe they might bring out more 4 pin detectors but I have this feeling they wont and so the 5 pin coils will and do have more usage points.
