Got up before the sun all excited on hunting a football field after last nights game, intent on doing some bleacher diving...but, there were all sorts of people there for some reason, so Plan B.
Hit this place before, and thought I'd get the pennys and nickles today, Still chock full of Q's and D's! Had the F70 set at disc3, thresh -5, sens 60 De mode, DP tones, 11"dd (sorry MiJason, I'll give that 10 a try soon)
.
Nice damp ground, had some rain this week, easy retrieval, and great signals, most of these targets were subsurface to 5" max.
Hit a stack of 4 Q's, 1 D, and 1 N which helped out tremendously, signal in the low 90's. Hit a tight spill of dimes, which were hard to chase around through the grass and dirt, ( where are you little coil?) so I started at the outside edge and worked my way in. Both end zones arn't mowed, but the F70 pulled a few more 3" q's outta there with the coil 5" above the ground. That told me if there was a deeper silver, I'd still hear it. Real happy with the numbers, I dont kneel to dig, I sort of bend over like a giraffe when its drinking, and stab with the screwdriver, drop the detector, ream out a hole, and fish out the coin, its really fast on targets 5" or less. You just gotta be careful you dont tip the coin on edge and make more work for yourself. All in all, it was a great morning, and I came home feeling fantastic, like usual! Thanks Fisher!
