I am just an old guy that goes out there in the parks with the wrong settings on his detector. How in the heck can he find anything?
Here is Hunt #2
I was following a guy that never covered any hole and I stayed in the wood chips like he did. I am glad he didn't get into the grass with all the holes he left. The bottle cap was the last dig because it was jumping all over the place. Had to dig it. I usually don't dig all over the place signals. 14K bracelet came up 18 it was just under the dirt less than 1".

I guess I'm going to have to bring down my discrimination some and try and find me some of that gold , I just hate digging all that junk to find that gold. I really like going for the silver coins but that's not working to well for me right now. Nice work on your hunt.

I tell you, when I read your post, I started laughing and shaking my head! I am very happy for you...you generally find some gold of a year, nice score for your 2nd hunt though! Real nice work on that signal...that 18 is an oddball TID..

lesson learned! .......low disc and........... 'Dont write off a guy just 'cause hes old and doesnt know what he's doing...especially if he has a F70!'....

Jim tn when I moved the dirt and saw the gold shining up at me. I grabbed it up and in the pouch it went. As always, I had no idea if it was real or not? I just had to hide it fast.

lytle78 that is exactly what I say about those low life scum. I see so much damage now to the tot lots. Many of the tot lots have rubber and they are all eaten up by digging under the rubber. I can see where this is going to go. I hope it will take a few more years before they stop us from detecting?

Stilllooking 52 I run my disc@ 20 just to knock out foil. When I hit it I just knew to dig it. Never saw the reading until I got back to the car and checked the reading. Most time I never check the readings, I just know the sounds and dig.

Mud: My wife is happy because I told her I wouldn't run the Compadre this year. It is going to stay in the box. She was saying your not coming home with enough quarters when you run the compadre. You need to get more quarters. I don't have a scale to weigh the thing but wife says it is gold. She is good at that jewelry ID ing stuff. 18 is kind of odd number because my wife's bracelets come in around 8 or so. But I am just an old guy out there digging with a tight coin program. Looking for quarters the wife will use for wash money. Ya the f70 finds stuff even when I go bungling around with no idea what I am doing. All I know is I am out there getting sun, walking and expelling gas. It is great.

Nalc472 you are describing exactly what I do in the summer. In the winter I trade metal detecting for reading the Kindle. But eating and sleeping is still on the menu all the time.

Revier: Like Mud says it is an odd number? I don't know? I run with 20 disc and some how I still hit it? Maybe the great metal detecting god said lets give this clown some gold and screw everyone else up? Who knows? Not me and I really don't care.

Amberjack if you look at my posts you will see I do dig a lot and I mean a lot of pennies. Today I dug 56 pennies out of the 75 coins. I am out there to have fun and dig all the coins I can. If I find gold or silver it is just better. The more coins the better and the more likely I will get some silver/gold thrown in.

HighplainsHunter thanks and that is what the guys keep telling me it is hard to find gold and silver. I don't know? I just stumble into there finds. I am out a lot hunting so my chance goes up every time I add another hunt, that I will stumble into some silver/gold.
