I'm picking up this unit in the morning... Seller claims it says Pulse 8 or 9 on box but does not resemble the Fisher units. Any thoughts??
 
Hi fir460......It looks like an early JW Fisher's PI machine...really heavy, really hot when in sea water 2 ft. deep or more.....how.
 
You were right on Hgarr!! It's an 80's model JW Fishers Pulse 8... beautiful condition for only $25!
