Please help Identify

Found this today, had a Lugar shell casing in the hole with it. Anybody date it?

I was in the US Army for 20 years. That is a U.S lapel insignia used from about Vietnam era to present and worn on the Class A uniform (Dress Greens). Usually made of brass I believe. I know we polished them using "Brasso".:clapping: Nice find bud.

I found it in a fence Row at a High school Football field. My first thought was JROTC. It looks like WWII to me also. It has the push pin on the back. I talked with my Uncle (He was in WWII) he says they used those type pins....Oakman says more current. The school has not been used in 30 years. I like it what ever it is!
 
I was in the army in78 we had a double pin with that pushed on last year i found one it had the screw on pin on the back that was before korean war good find HH Gary
