how do i get the most out of my MXT PRO ? i have 2 coils both are whites [eclipse DD] and a 300 ltd which is to heavy to use

You should read the book 'MXT edge'. The first time through it you may not absorb it all so don't be frustrated if something goes over your head. The second time through will make alot more sense of things.

The more you use it, the more you'll know your machine. It takes practice, practice and practice. But it's all fun! HH, Nancy

Nancy's right. Practice, then go back to the MXT edge. You will soon understand what a powerful machine it is.

[size=medium]if i still had mine i'd have the 5.3 and the D2 coils.both whites coils. i can't use the heavy coils either and the D2 is about the same as the 950. the 300 coil is useless unless you're doing large open non-trashy fields anyway. very seldom do you hear of anyone singing it's praises. the large DD coils seem to do very well in its place. don't know about their weights tho. once i used my D2 it was all i needed. the 5.3 really shined in really trashy places. the differance between the MXT and the MXT pro is the Ground- grab, back-light and the Sounds and the book the MXT Edge doesn't cover any of those. it will help with the rest of the machine. you put in enough practice where that machine is part of your arm and you won't miss much.

Start using a small coil

Read MXT edge

Make a test garden

Start using the mode you feel more comfortable with, then try and test all the other modes

Always question yourself: what can you do to improve your skills further? what do you want to do with your detector? how much money do you want to spend on accessories?

have fun!

I forgot: grab a good pair of headphones
