Travis has been hit hard by either a virus or food poisoning. Started feeling bad a couple hours ago and is now really, really sick. I'm thinkin' we will be making a trip to the ER if he doesn't get better soon. Please pray this will be short lived and that Loren and I don't get this! Thanks guys.

Also for you two ladies!

Prayers for Travis for quick healing by our Lord and Savior....The Great Physician....Jesus! He said he didn't enjoy the meal you had in Nashville, so the meat could have been tainted or contaminated by the flood waters? But may God in Jesus' name touch Him with His healing virtue and heal him of whatever the illness is being caused by and to protect you and Loren should it be a Virus infection! Did you get around any of the old mud and water that had flooded so much of Nashville? If so, then he could have picked up bacteria of some kind and sure hope you and Loren are okay and don't get ill, also! I pray this for each of you! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks everyone for the prayers....Travis is still VERY sick. We spent the night in the hospital last night. After my post, he got so sick we had to go. After a CT and bloodwork, the doctor decided he had colitis and a viral infection. His CT was negative (praise GOD!) and he did have elevated white blood cell counts. After pushing lots of fluids in him and giving him a shot, we came home about 6 this morning. He is weak, dizzy, etc, but beginning to get better. He is taking two different antibiotics, so he should soon be back to normal.

Ma, I can't help but wonder if you are right about contaminated food. We all ate pretty much the same foods all weekend though and no one else is sick. Plus, it was over 24 hours after eating the bbq when the sickness started. I don't know.

Keep prayin', y'all! Thanks a bunch!

Sherry had food poisoning and it hit her 'like a missile' and thought she would die in the bathroom of a store. It went untreated and not properly diagnosed for too long and it killed off the action in the stomach and intestines that move the food along ( peristalsis (?).

Determine what was eaten...when and where...if in a public restaurant there may be others seeking help in the ER as well. Hope it isn't food poisoning and you have competent medical personnel - unlike the supposed doctors Sherry had gone to at 3 different hospitals.

Will keep Travis, you and baby girl in my prayers! If he has colitis, it could be from eating salad if he ate any? My daughter, Tami, got sick from eating salad from help your-self bar area and had diarhea and sick to her stomach! I am praying for the meds to work quickly and for Jesus to heal with His healing and virtuous touch! Colitis isn't fun, as I've had it and kept running to thebathroom! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Well I finally feel better, but I still do not feel well. I am dizzy right now, but my stomach does not hurt. It is rolling alot and I feel weird all over. I have not been that sick in along time. I pray I never get that sick again, I felt like I was dieing in the bathroom I turned on the cold water in the tub and thought I turned it on hot as it did not feel cold to me. That is when I hollered at Liz. I could not think straight and I thought I was going to pass out. I praise God I feel better.

That don't sound like fun at all. Glad you are feeling better.

Glad you are feeling some better but pray that all the sickness will be ended by the virtuous and loving touch of our Lord Jesus Christ's healing hand! Amen! May God Bless! Ma Betty

Hi 7Cents; Stop fooling around. Get to an ER NOW.!!! My cousin got Food Poisoning and he spent 5 days in the INTENSIVE CARE Unit. He thought he felt better. Didn't do anything. Next day he literally collapsed. They had to "REVIVE" him on the way to the ER in the Ambulance. Food Poisoning is no joke that's for sure.!!!!! It took him 9 "weeks" to recover. He missed work and everything else. So please GO.!!! Thanks. PEACE:RONB

Travis is much better tonight! The antibiotics have kicked in and his temp and dizziness are gone. I have to praise GOD for our local hospital-they are wonderful and always very thorough. The larger hospital nearby has one of the worst ER's in the state. After a few bad experiences there, we started going to the ER in the smaller hospital and the care is always phenominal. They went above and beyond doing all the bloodwork and CT scan to make sure something more serious wasn't going on. For that, I am thankful. It really eases my mind!!! I actually overheard the doctor giving ppl actual bloodwork LEVELS in the room next to us-without them asking first!! How refreshing is that?

Barker-Thanks for your concern. We actually did go get him thoroughly checked out. Can't mess around with the symptoms he had. You are so right, food poisoning can be deadly. Your cousin's experience sounds horrible!! Hope he didn't have any lasting effects from his sickness. Travis's blood tests ruled out food poisoning, but I still can't help but wonder.....At any rate, he is very much on the mend. Took the four-wheeler out for a short ride a few minutes ago :) Lol.

Hi Liz; Glad to hear he went. Glad to hear you got him good care too. Now, Not to be a sad sack but if it was NOT food poison then WHAT was it. I pray God will give him healing and the Doctors the right answers ok. Just keep a SHARP eye on him for the next few weeks. Symptoms can linger ok. My cousin felt fine just before he collapsed. Scary stuff. I'm praying for you guys. Best Wishes. PEACE:RONB

Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for Your healing touch through the good hospital drs and please keep Your healing touch upon Him and help Him to get well completely along with the meds! Amen! Ma Betty
