She woke up this morning with her neck bothering her and she is holding it to one side and has been all day. We are concerned and I've been watching her like a hawk. No signs of any other problems and no temp all day. She has been eating and playing, just not with her usual gusto. She doesn't seem sick, but isn't quite herself either. If she is no better tomorrow, I will be taking her to see the doc. As long as she has no temp, I've been watching her at home. I know without a doubt, if I take her in they will want to do a spinal tap to rule out meningitis and she has had enough medical trauma in her little life. She is TERRIFIED of all medical procedures and does not do well at all. I don't want to put her through that until I think it is necessary. Thanks for the prayers, y'all.

Thank you, Martin. It is my sincere hope I am overreacting, but anything dealing with neck pain and stiffness is a cause for concern, especially in children.

heal any problems right away so she won't have to go through any medical procedures and we know that You are able to do so in Jesus' precious name, for there is nothing impossible with You! We give You the praise and glory for Your healing and for making her well and whole quickly and Thank Your, Son, Jesus, for doing a good work in her for Your purpose! Please give Liz and Travis peace and Your blessings of comforting love to endure and overcome this trial, also!

In my Spirit, Liz, I feel like she slept wrong and has a neck pain from doing so....usually don't hear about this in small children, but anything could happen to their bones and muscles, too! My son used to suffer from growing pains in his legs when very young and I know it was because of stress on his muscles and ligaments! My daughter, Susan, was unlucky at breaking her bones and has had many broken in her life so far.....she drank lots of milk when a baby and young, but still must be low on calcium in her bones! Tami has had bronchitis since she was born....sooo we go through lots of illnesses with children and even when they become adult children! :) May God Bless and give you all peace and comfort that passes all understanding! Amen! Ma Betty

Thank you, Ma. I feel you are right, but I still have to be careful with it. One of my prayers in the last several months is that GOD will grant me the ability to discern what is truth from what I "feel". Overreacting doesn't help anyone and I tend to get really hyper and become a hypocondriac. You could say I have a nervous spirit, but with GOD's help, I am getting better all the time.

but Jesus cares and tells us to put it all upon Him, for His burden is light and His yoke is easy...making all things easier for us to endure and overcome! Mother's and father's get wrinkles and gray hair from worrying!  Ma Betty

After a rough night, I took Loren in to be checked out this morning. Both of her ears are red (despite having tubes) and her throat and sinuses were infected. Her sinus infection has progressed to what her Dr. called a deep neck infection...whatever that means. She has a strong antibiotic and I got instructions to bring her back for a re-check next week and if she gets worse to take her to ER immediately. If she didn't show obvious infection, we would have done CT's. blood work and a spinal tap, but PRAISE GOD, we didn't have to put her thru that. We are home and I've already dosed her up. It amazes me how resilient children are...to be as sick as she apparently is and running no temp and still playing quietly. Keep prayin
, y'all.

Praying, Liz, for a quick and complete recovery...glad you took her to dr and found out what was wrong and how sick she is! Yes, kids seem to bounce back better than the older folks, which includes me...I don't bounce anymore, but if you dropped me on me behind, I might! Dear Lord, Please move upon Loren with Your healing virtuous touch and heal her from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet! Amen! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, and Holy Spirit for hearing and answering our prayers for Loren! Amen! Ma Betty
