Virginia and Dennis and families! Their brother and uncle, Earnest, passed away and his funeral was today in Salem, MO! Cliff and I didn't attend, as the viewing was at 10:00 and the funeral was at 11:00! My car is having new brakes put on it, Thursday, and with the weather and our breathing problems, we didn't try to make it down or in time!

Earnest was crippled in his right arm and foot all his life, some mental retardation, and an epileptic.....had to take meds to keep from having bad spells! I wrote a poem, BUTTERFLY WINGS, about him and now he is free from his earthly body like a cocoon, with its Butterfly Wings! He was 71 and always close to our hearts! He was so funny at times and had a smile with a twinkle in his eyes! He lived 9 months longer than Aunt Myrtle, his mother and my mom's sister! He and his mother were together most of their lives, so he took it really hard when she passed away in her 90's.

Also pray for my neighbor, Anna Maria, and her family, her sisters and brother and their families! Their father passed away and his funeral was today also! He reached 100 yrs and she had said she thought he would get to be 100 yrs in age! They took turns taking care of him! If I lived that long, I would have almost 28 years yet to live this earthly life! But however long God wants me here, here I will stay serving Him, as long as I have my right mind! ??????

God Bless!

Thanks for your prayers! Viginia called me and she and John was very tired from the trip to Salem and then to the cemetery which is on the land where Cliff and I grew up. Dad gave them the land for the cemetary! We moved to the farm in 1941 which is between Centerville and Bunker, MO. I know I would have sick and probably Cliff had we gone down and drove all the way to the cemetery and back home! That's a long trip even when we were younger and healthier! Thanks again!

God Bless!

Hello, wanted to update you about Earnest! He was sick with chest amd stomach hurting around midnight and wanted to go to the bathroom! The nurse or aide went in to him and said he was lying in bed and talking a little and then he rubbed his forehead a couple of times and was gone in about 16 mins! Virginia was in Kansas City, MO for her granddaughter's college graduation and felt bad that she couldn't get back to be with him, but when she heard how quickly he went, she wasn't feeling so badly then, as even if she had been in Jeff City, she couldn't have made it in time anyway! Of course there is sadness but he is free from his mortal crippled body and mind and won't be hurting or in pain now! We will miss him though! But I still have memories and love in my heart for him!

Don't know about Anna Maria and families, as I haven't seen her or my neighbor who told me about her father passing away at 100 Years!

God Bless!
