Went out with my son doing curb strips. Had an exceptionally good evening. I found two mercs, and two indian head pennies. My son found a 1900 barber, a merc, and then found 5 Indian head pennies, 1 wheat, and a 1900 V nickel all in one hole.

Wow ! You had a good day for sure. How old is the town where they were found. Does it have slate sidewalks and how wide is the grass strip. Hope you go back, we want to see more.

Nice finds there!!!
Those curb strips can yield some nice finds from time to time.
Congrats on a great hunt!!!

Nice going! Curb strips are frequently overlooked by many. I remember hunting one a number of years ago and came up with a nice sterling silver Victorian hair brush. Someone working in their yard asked me what I was doing. After I explained he said "I have an old house here, why don't you detect in my yard?" I promptly found 3 Indians including the rare 1908-S in really nice shape. Keep at those curb strips. You made some nice finds.
