This park has always been a very pleasant place to hunt. The smell of hot dogs on the grill brings me back to family outings here and I think of relatives years ago sitting at these picnic tables long since passed.Anyway found a lot of wheat's a couple in the teens and a 1960 Canadian dime. The soil was good so the last hour I cranked the sensitivity up to 28.It was good to get out for a hunt. Thanks Ron

Glad you got a Silver with those Wheats you dug. I like the dog pics! Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.:detecting:

Bryce, always good to get out for a hunt.Devon the Britney was the dog last week that was stomped by a mare and picked her up before the second hit.In the twelve years I have this dog she never bite anyone when I reached the dog I thought she was dying and as I picked her up she bit my hand three times.Prayers and a vet I think she will be fine.Chance is the Great Dane. Thanks Ron

SMKUNDER,Pontiac Lake Park will still produce.Give me a PM and maybe we can search an area park and swap war stories. Thanks Ron

Deep on edge,a photo of the two evil mare's Charlie and Ocala.Kentucky Derby tomorrow.Ocala spy is the grand daughter of Seattle Slew a Triple Crown winner.I would like to propose this to the Myth Buster's but it will cost them money. My horse Jake and I a quarter mile race against any track horse in that 1325 ft race, which I think would be interesting. Thanks Later Ron

Hi Ron, Nice hunt and story about the park. I'm very sorry to hear about your dog's injury and I'm glad to hear that she's going to be alright - getting stomped on by that mare must have been very traumatic for her and I'm sure she probably didn't even know she was biting anything or didn't know what she was doing at the time. I've had Golden Retrievers all my life and our dogs are part of our family too. Your dogs look like sweet dogs - and I'll bet that you were overjoyed to have saved her and I hope her treatment will bring her back 100%

Erik,I'm very close to this Britney, she didn't know she was biting me at the time.I didn't notice it myself until her teeth was pried from my hand. She has improved a lot already. Thanks Ron

Hi Ron, I can tell you love your dogs that tells me a lot about you! You're a good man and best of luck with Devon - I'm sure with your love she'll be back to 100% very soon! PS, my1-1/2 year old daughter loves you dog pics! Best Regards, Erik

Am I right??? Looks like a very nice place you have there. Nice photo of the horses and thanks for sharing. Good Luck and HH to you Ron.:detecting:

The pic was taken a couple of months before I got my hair buzzed off. I figured since I like crazy tye-died shirts...that my buddy Hercules should have a crazy looking sweater.

The moon jacket and workout pants I had on looked pretty snazzy too:clapping:

Brandon,I'm going for a hunt tomorrow.I don't want to get skunked in Virginia by my brother with his Sovereign next week. Thanks Ron
