Pop Bottle Bombs

Very dangerous, but even more dangerous is thes nuts posting them on you-tube so other nuts can see how to do it. No wonder so many of our youth are out there getting into trouble. They can go onto the net and find out how to do anything. What happened to the good old world of our youth?

The world is nuts. One time there was a rash of crack cocaine in Saginaw, Michigan. The newspaper told the story of how bad things were then proceeded to give the ingredients of crack cocaine. They didn't give quantities of each but still I thought that was irresponsible.

Later a house had an explosion and it was cause by a kerosene heater that had exploded with tremendous force - blowing all the windows out of the house. They said the owner accidentally put gasoline in with the kerosene which caused the explosion. They also said that it was only missing one ingredient from being napalm. I was really surprised that they didn't say what that other ingredient was. As a Nam Vet, I know the answer.

Once at a high school our Vietnam Veterans of America chapter did a talk with the high schoolers about Vietnam. Afterwords we were approached by a teacher who thanked us and several students who asked if we could help with a class project. They explained there were to make a video on ANY topic of their choice and asked if we would help them make a video on 'field expedient explosives'. I turned to the teacher and asked if they were for real. The teacher said yes that was the assignment. Told them even though we each have knowledge of how to make these devices none of us will help with that project. I said that knowledge will hopefully die with each of us. We cannot take chances of anyone being hurt - intentionally or accidentally - from such devices.

What are these teachers thinking???

And the Gov't isn't any wiser and let out many secrets....even selling surplus things that would harm those who purchase them or others! The Explosive Bottle is sooooo dangerous, like holding a big enough firecracker in the hand and having it explose and cause much harm to hands, eyes and face! Also, telling our enemies how to make them and cause harms to anyone they would like to do one by one! Our whole world has gone nuts without the 10 Commandments in School and Public buildings.....many don't go to church nor read the Bible, so how are they going to know what is right and what is wrong! Crazy and nutty no common sense people out there for sure! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

We all can only hope and pray this thing doesn't catch on all over the country now that it all YouTube. I wanted you all to know, in the event you find such a device near your homes, schools, work, etc.

Thanks for posting about the explosive soda bottles, Martin, because lots of warnings should go out through emails and the Net to help people to look carefully before picking up any bottle, or any metal container, too, that could hold explosive materials!! May God have mercy upon us, our children and our families and protect us all from such ignorant, sick people who would do this to anyone! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

See, now the little boy in me thought "thats cool I neek to go make one of those". For what reason? who knows. It is unlikely that I ever would.

If I did, making it would not be irresponlible. No more so than owning or shooting a gun. The foolishness is in leaving in someones front yard with the intention of scaring them or worse yet injuring them.

I urge you to be carefull how you percieve these things. The bomb itself is not bad.

Jeff

imagine that in a glass bottle. A small amount of caustic and some aluminum (or tin) in the neck of the bottle. Pick it up and the aluminum comes in contact with the caustic. Hydrogen gas forms, builds pressure in the bottle and then, boom. If it's near an open flame, it's even worse.
