Surprise Visit

Posted 1 hour ago

Yesterday we had a visit from our grandson, Brian. It was such a joy to see him. The last time was when we went to their house to tell him that Poppy was going into the hospital. We had a great time. He took lots of pictures, some good and some funny. He so seldom gets out of the house that it was a real treat to have him come see us.

Our days are pretty much the same. One day we get platelets and the next blood. The doctor came in today and all he will get will be his regular medicines. He is free to move around. Yea! He said we will probably be here for another 5 to 7 days.

Poppy's hair is thinning out. He looks somewhat like a kewpie doll, a bunch on top but nothing around the edges. The doctor said the rest will likely come out in a couple of days. He's walking around in shorty pj's and still has the best looking legs. Wish I could say that.

We really appreciate all the messages, cards, visits and prayers. Thanks.

Donna and Howard

Thanks for the update and my prayers are still with Poppy and Brian! It's great that he was able to go and see his Poppy! I'm sure that both and others enjoyed the visit! Keep faith in Jesus for both and may God Bless with healing, strength, joy, and peace that passes all human understanding! With Jesus, out blessed Savior, we can endure and overcome anything...but remember God has a plan for each of us and His will be done and not ours! May Poppy be able to get out of the hospital and back home soon! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for hearing our prayers and for Your mercy upon Your Children! May God Bless us everyone! Amen! Ma Betty
