Port Aransas North Padre Island

New to the Forums, been detecting for many years......put it down for a while and just getting back to it - anyway, I am headed to Port Aransas North Padre Island area in April. Any tips/suggestions on detecting around there? Using an Explorer II or a CZ70.

I'm also headed to Port Aransas, TX. the first week of Aug. for vacation. It is a yearly thing I do with my two sisters and was thinking about taking my Infinium with me but wasn't sure what the hunting was like there. Are there any laws about metal detecting on the beaches there and has anyone had luck hunting there.
