possible interference cure

went out detecting yesterday with a friend, now at the start of the day when we got close to one another my machine was going apeshit with electrical chatter feedback from his goldmax 18khz machine i could not get closer than about 15-20 feet away i had my machine set up in 3 tone mode .later in the afternoon i was playing around with my settings as you do ,and switched to DP mode interference cured instantly i could now detect to within a couple of feet away without a problem .i don't know if this will work with other machines yet or electric fences/pylons but its worth looking into .also if it does work it changes this into a detecting rally useable machine .

yes i did it cut it down a bit but not enough bill .putting it in DP cut it out completly i'll try it round high voltage electric cables next

it needs looking at imho this worked against one particular make of machine but they are extremely popular in the u.k at the moment .if it works across a range of detectors it will make the T2 a good machine for rallys, that was my point. if it also cuts out high voltage power line interference that will be another bonus as soon as time permits i will try it out against my minnylab sovereign .
after all one of the main things against this machine is the interference .btw my settings were disc 10 ,sens 85,mode DP so i was running it fairly hot as well, ground reading was 69

Good ideas we'll try them to on the DP mode...Check out your sens as well...85 would be way to HOT on my machine for most places...just an idea.

Ha:wave:ve fun and enjoy!

casey we dont hunt the same type of sites over here .our land is open ancient farmland and all we want to knock out discrim is iron ,anything else could be something special .have you ever seen how thin and small our hammered coins are in reality and they can be cut into halfs and quarters as well .i remember an american friend drooling because he found a victoria penny from the 1800's we throw them in the grot box .most of us would not dream of hunting a park or playground as the stuffs to modern .

I hunt parkland, and have found some good items, rings etc,and sometimes a good few silver coins turn up.I also have detected on carboot land and made 100 dollars plus in a day ,and you will find, most UK users would be happy with that.
