General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

possibly trade my Sovereign XS-2 Pro

I have a Sovereign XS-2 Pro in excellent condition I would possibly trade. I really have not gave it a chance. this evening is the first I took it out for a try and I dont know, it just well I just dont understand it. It has the 8" coil. I thought the coils were DD coils. I am almost positive this is not. I get the signal along the top to bottom of coil but along the center not from the sides. I had explorers with DD coils and thought they picked up from the entire coil. not just the middle. It seems like it works like a bigfoot coil only 8" long. Maybe its just I am not use to it. One time isnt enough I know. I stopped in Louisiana just a few miles south of mississippi on I-55 some small fuel stop and went out in the woods with it. I bought it to use for if I go to a beach in the sand. and where I am at there is sand and It is kind of hard to dig in. anyway you kind of know if your going to like a detector or not, and I just dont know. I could probably learn to like it if I used it enough but I dont think I will use it that much just by using it today. I went to the truck and got my tejon and found a couple of bullets a nickel and two pennies. I had alot more fun using the tejon.
I would probably trade someone if I get any offers that sound good to me. If someone has any pointers on enjoying the sovereign I will read them. I liked the explorers I had, I figured the sovereign would be easier to learn than the explorer but maybe I just got to give it time. I guess maybe I dont like going so slow. I like to work fast. maybe thats the problem. anyway if anyone is interested in possibly trading. let me know what you have to trade. thanks Ted
 
Dude! You're going too fast. Not so much with your detector but your getting to know the detector. The first time out with any detector always sucks. Give it a fair chance and I'm sure it will do you good.
