Came home from shopping Sunday night, we'd been gone for 4 or 5 hours. Had the sprinklers on outside so the dogs wouldn't go out the front door because everything was wet. I opened the back door and saw waves in the pool?! Took a quick look as the dogs stood BEHIND me and saw this in the pool! Lucky little fella as we hardly every go out back after dark. I had left the screen door opened during the day so the dogs could go in and out as they needed to. This little guy was on his last few laps when I found him. He was way too tired to put up any resistance. At first I tried to lift him with the pool brush but he was so weak that he couldn't hold on and fell off THEN promptly starting sinking! At this point I just dropped to my knees and grabbed him by the tail figuring he was way to tired to care at this point. Sure enough, he was so worn out he could barely breath, no telling how long he had been in there. I laid him in the back yard and he stayed there for a few minutes to catch his breath and finally waddled off like a drunken sailor, so tired he could barely hold himself up. I'm sure he went and slept it off for a good while. Thought y'all would get a kick out to this.
