Post here if you've bought or ordered an E-Trac!

Rumor had it that Minelab only released 100 E-Tracs in the US for its introduction. I'm not sure how accurate this info is, but I thought it might be nice to take a tally of those that have bought one already.

I ordered mine yesterday from Detector Depot - should be here on Wednesday - and looking forward to it!

I got to the dealer within 15 minutes of it's arrival from UPS I'm told :detecting: I'm starting to feel better so I'm heading out to a place in the morning right up the street that I've used an Explorer II, CZ-70, X-terrors, 3D's along with some others and pulled out some nice silver and indians. I'll keep you posted :)

Going to place order on Tuesday. Hope I can still get one fairly soon.

if I want one I will have to wait for the next batch to come in :( I want to check it out up close and personal before i make my final decision. Still I have a pretty strong feeling that it will be getting added to my arsenal :)

Taking it out on Saturday to a park with Barbers and Indians. Just about done with the DFX there. Now the true test. Although I know nothing about a Minelab, I think I can wing it enough to give it a fair shot!! Lots of mineralization (-94) and some grassy areas too. I never had luck with the grass with my DFX due to the extra sinking depth of coins and the shear number of pull tabs. Looking forward to Saturday like a kid in a candy store at Christmas!! Will definitely post on Sunday!

I just got one from K/Co last week and tried it on the Explorer XS, EX2 and SE.

It's a pretty good coil.

Looking forward to try all my Explorer coils on the E-trac(should arrive today) IF it's needs them.

Hi, Not going to try it the first time out. I'm going with the stock 11" coil for now. I won't be able to leave the other one in my truck and switch it out. I want to concentrate on the machine at a particular site. I will switch to it some time down the road. I want to get a grip on the new technology first. But later, I think that 4x7 coil will be a killer in trashy areas. I'll post as soon as I can on Saturday's results.
