Posting of my finds -- is it appreciated, or annoying?

Gents --

I am a new Explorer user and am so excited about how this thing likes to find silver; I've posted stories and pictures of my silver finds up to this point.

However, I HATE braggadocio, and at times it starts to feel uncomfortable for me to keep posting this stuff -- I like to try to maintain humility and I don't like to feel like a "braggart" in any way. Having said that, I personally LOVE seeing everyone else's posts with what everyone is finding -- to me it adds to the excitement seeing what is out there in the ground, and what is being found. That's a big part of why I read this forum (i.e. what has everyone found today, I wonder?)

I guess my question is this -- and please be honest: in terms of MY own personal finds, should I keep posting them (do you feel it adds to the excitement -- seeing what's out there being found by fellow Explorer users), or should I begin to keep it to myself (and stop running the risk of sounding like a braggart?)

Honestly, this is something that I am concerned about, and I'd really appreciate a number of responses to this, giving your opinions and thoughts. I will adjust accordingly, based on everyones' opinions...I don't want to be thought of as boasting -- but at the same time if posting of finds is appreciated, I'll keep on doing so at least some of the time (when I do manage to dig some goodies).

Thanks everyone!

Steve

Do it all you want. Steve. There is no reason anyone has to click on it . I like em, as far as that goes :)

I like your enthusiasm

I like seeing everyone's posts. Some folks live in older areas and get older stuff, but I never even get sick of seeing '64 rosies! Please keep sharing your posts and if some people think its too often or whatever no one "makes" them click on it. I like your finds and appreciate you sharing them.
HH!

KEEP IT UP STEVE, I TO LOVE TO SEE WHAT EVERYONE FINDS ,ITS INTERESTING TO ME
TO READ AND SEE THEM ,NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL ,OR OFTEN .
B ESIDES IT GIVES A LOT OF US THE HOPE THAT IF HE CAN FIND THINGS ,SO CAN I
GO FOR IT ---AND BY THE WAY ,I ENJOYED THE HUNT
THANKS CURT

I always like to see what others are finding, how deep it was, and how their se pro was set up.:)
Keep right on posting!

Keep posting your finds. I can not get out as much as I used to because my brother is sick, so I stay at home and see what everybody else finds. It helps Me through the day. So...Keep Posting all your finds. Thanks...Jesse.

I appreciate the time others take to post finds no matter how average the finds are. I noticed over time I have turned in to a hypocrite when it comes to posting finds. I still get really excited even when I find a roosie but forget to take the time to snap pics and post. I think for me, after the initial rush wears off, I lose interest and want to go back and do even better. I still enjoy the posts of others. I enjoy the excitement they got finding them and feed off of their post as motivation to go out and find more. Minelab users get a bad rap as being shutter bugs, but it's really hard for others to argue with proven results. Thank you for posting. JJ

Appreciated most definitely. I don't think it matters what detector you use and brag about your finds. I look forward to seeing what everyone is finding because for now I don't get to do much detecting since I live in an area that forbids metal detecting  Maybe when I move in a few months I will have to post my finds :detecting: Hope to see more of your finds soon.

keep em coming thats why were come here to see this stuff if you find some interesting explorer tip that help you make good finds add a lot of us are still learning and new tricks and tips are cool

Sharing finds with like minds is what this forum is all about :super: Keep 'em coming.

Everyone --

Thanks for the input. Sounds unanimous that "finds" posts are a good thing -- and I know that's how I feel reading about other folks' finds. Makes it fun to see what everyone is finding!

Thanks everyone. I'll keep posting whenever I manage to snag something that's a keeper!

Steve....don't let what someone else thinks...or might think...dictate how often you post.

If they don't like it...they don't have to view the thread.

This forum is about fun...forum friendship...possible in person friendships developed through meeting for a hunt...posting finds...sharing knowledge...tips...etc.

You don't need to worry about getting on someone's nerve's or feeling like you are acting better than someone else just because you post finds often...or just plain post often.

I would be posting much more often myself but have some personal things in my life that need tending to...and am also concentrating on some health issues.

POST AWAY:clapping:

Bryce --

Thanks for the kind words, and I'm real sorry to hear that you have some "heavy" things going on right now. Don't know if it means anything to you or not -- but I'll pray for you, and your health.

Hang in there, my friend...

Steve

Postings of found items are great... just be careful if ist relics we arent the only ones who check out these forums. Also, not always good to mention ANY specific locations unless you want company. I rarely post finds.... but i do know if im looks at NEW machines on the market.... if you arent seeing any finds posts just questions i tend to wonder about their ability on deep targets. Plus it helps determine which machine may be best for various types of hunting. We have also lost a lot of good posters just because they take a lot of crap from some who arent finding what they do. So just take it in stride.
