Pounded Park Gives some Keepers!

Went to a large park where I have had some luck before. I am sure its been hunted many times by others. I can usually find some silver there if I have a few hours and work systematically. Today I got a 46 Washington and a 63D Rosie. I also found a couple of 50s wheats and a few dollars in clad.

So what's your secret sauce for finding coins in a pounded park?

Good question...

I try to be patient and systematic covering only a small part of the entire area. Swing slowly and listen for weak signals. Evaluate each signal from several directions to decide if its worth digging and to get best targeting. Find the depth of the older coins and bypass shallow targets unless the tone suggests a really good target such as sterling jewelry.
