Power adapter for simplex

I recently won a simplex metal detector. When unpacking I found I was missing the power adapter. Could I substitute another adapter from a cell phone or lap top?
 
They don't include a charger because different countries use different electrical plugs and line voltage.

Just pick up a USB type charger. Output 5 volts, 2.1A. You can use a charger with less than 2.1A output but, charging of the battery will take longer.

Thank you Sven, heading to the store to hunt one up. Hope the simplex performs half as well as the Mirage l purchased from you and the Deeptechs you recommended.
