Power is back on....came on at 2 minutes to 5

Pete in MI

New member
Exhausted but glad God sent all those people to get our power for this county back on line. Thank you all for your prayers...and Ma Betty you are right about rest - my body had told me I have done too much too soon

Well, sometimes we just cannot rest nor quit when our family needs need to be met! We just go ahead and try to help in anyway we can for them and for ourselves! Praise God and Thank You, Lord, for helping Pete and other families to get their power going for lights to work, cooking to be done on electric stoves and for heating homes when necessary for both humans and their pets! Amen! Ma Betty

Well Pete, I'm late about posting as usual (much catching up to do), but I wanted to say I am sooo thankful that y'all have power again. I remember our freak icestorm of 08 far to well.....no power for 15 days. ICK!

I don't think we, on our own, could survive that long, Liz. But I do know God would see us through.

I remember, too, Liz and Pete, when the eletric was out twice in one year...one due to a terrible tornado or high-straight-wind storm and then again when an ice-storm hit! It was before 08 because Cliff hadn't come up yet! My freezer had to have ice bags in it and many had generators (including my brother Larry and family) to keep their foods from spoiling he did bring me his and started it when their electric came back on and mine hadn't! I finally had to clean out my freezer and frig and get rid of the food that was thawing out and starting to spoil! Had a mess to clean out and hope we never have that happen again, but with God on my side, I and others did survive by helping each other to have ice, although the ice machines were emptied and then difficult to get more! The blessings of generators when needed is a good thing to have! I don't have one, as yet, because of the lack of money which is needed to keep my present bills paid, but I know my Savior loves me and is our God of goodness and grace for His faithful Children! Amen! Ma Betty
